BEDWARS 2.0?!

Yep, that's right! You can expect a completely different environment on our network than what you're used to. Many new items, new game mechanics and tactics, even a new resource and different stores! In this thread we will prepare you for the most important changes. But it's best to make up your own mind right after or before reading!

You can find BedWars 2.0 as usual in the navigator under the bed. The signs directly in front of you will contain our BW 2.0 servers!
But let's get to the most important question... Which is not even that easy to answer:

WHAT'S NEW?

The Shop
Our new version contains two new stores for you. They are divided into Item-Shop and Upgrade-Shop directly near your spawn. As usual, you can buy all kinds of items in the Item-Shop. Of course there are also some new items. New in the store itself is the new Quickbuy Tab, where you can drag items into a quick selection.

The first row of items is predefined by us. However, the second row can be configured to your liking by clicking on the red glass panes. Just put your favorite items in and buy them without much clicking around too much.


In the Upgrade-Shop you can buy upgrades that will benefit your team. These upgrades range from enchantments on swords or tools, to effects in the base or more efficient spawners.


and how can you pay for all of this?

New Resource: Diamond
On each map you can now find new islands with the new resource - diamonds. With these you can buy upgrades only.



The spawn efficiency of diamond spawners and gold spawners in the center increases over time. The current efficiency level can be found on the in-game scoreboard.

Okay - and what about traps?
Quite simply, diamonds can be used to buy traps that wait for their opponents. These traps are triggered automatically as soon as an opponent enters your base. The following traps are currently available for purchase:
  • Invisibility-Trap: Removes invisibility from an attacking opponent
  • Blindness-Trap: Blinds enemies in your Base for a few seconds
  • Mining Fatigue-Trap: Makes it harder for enemies to mine something in your Base for a few seconds
  • Lightning-Trap: Strikes enemies with a lightning bolt and makes them sustain damage
And now a little taste of our new items:
  • The Parachute brings you down safely from high places. For 10 irons you can glide over the map like James Bond.
  • ...but when you land, you're easy prey for the Crystal Hammer, our little souvenir from CrystalWars. This hurls you through the air , but once landed, it''ll look quite bad...
  • The Spleef ball makes enemy blocks disappear. You will never be safe on any bridge.
  • Wood and Axe - A new pair to protect your bed and destroy enemy beds.
  • Someone's building their way to you? No problem, with the Fireball you can eliminate enemies even from a great distance.
  • The new iron armor, diamond armor and the new diamond sword bring PvP fights to a whole new level.
...and that's not all. But to find out all the item changes, you'll have to play it yourself.

By the way - Maps have changed a lot!

You already know that each map is now equipped with two villagers instead of one. You also already know that the previously mentioned diamonds can be found on islands between the different teams... In addition to that, there is a small "spawn room" on each map, where players can't place blocks. Meaning, spawntrapping like you know is no longer possible and you can't even be placed in spiderwebs just like that.

The following maps come online with the first version of BW 2.0:

Aqua (8x1), Caravan (8x1),  Crystal (8x1), Atlantis (4x2), Castle (4x2), CoastRescue (4x2), Farmland (4x3), SteamPunk (4x3), WildWest (4x3), Aridia (4x4), Beach (4x4) and Defensio (4x4)

Speaking of maps...
...let's continue with the Forcemap System. What was previously only available to YouTubers and team members is now available to all Supremium players in BedWars 2.0.
In the waiting lobby you can open the GUI for map selection via the sheet of paper in your hotbar.

All maps available for the current team size are listed here, which can be changed with just one click. This feature will be available to you up to seven times per day.

A little preview of all the other changes:
We have made many changes to the game mechanics of BedWars, which are probably beyond the scope of this announcement. As mentioned above, a true impression of our new version can only be found out by playing it. Nevertheless, we want to inform you about everything else that is important, so that you can go into our new BedWars as informed as possible:
  • The Stats-System and the associated ranking has been changed. Not only wins are counted anymore, but kills, destroyed beds and wins are rewarded with points, which will result in your ranking.
  • Achievements have now been expanded with multi-level Achievements. With Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond levels, the player can unlock certain Achievements multiple times at higher levels.
  • Touching the Void will kill you instantly now...
  • ...and you wake up again in a waiting room. After 5 seconds you are teleported back to the spawn.
  • From now on you always spawn in a full leather armor and with a wooden sword. You also get a small spawn protection to prevent spawn trapping. A building protection around the spawn also prevents building in the spawn area.
