Hey ho Minecrafters!
we're thrilled to announce that a huge Cores update is coming your way! With this update, we want to take the opinion of our community (that's you!) into consideration and implement your wishes.
CHANGES TO THE MAP POOL
First of all, we have removed unpopular maps and added new shiny ones for your eyes to digest. Check it out:
These maps went to the dumpster:
- Modern
- Savanna
- Arctic
...and the following maps were added:
- Maulde
Iron resources were cut in half here and existing Diamond Ores were completely removed.
- Cake
All Diamond Ores and Iron Blocks were removed here. This is in response to a suggestion from the community.
- Spring
All Diamond Ores and Iron Blocks were removed here, too. This is also in response to a suggestion from the community.
Now you can decide which resources you want to play with!
With the new map pool, you can now choose between maps without resources, maps with only Iron or maps with Diamonds and Iron.
Use the following indicators to differentiate between these different types of maps:
(Diamonds and Iron)
(
no Diamonds, just Iron)
(
no resources)
The well-known maps Ruins and Italy can still be played with Iron and Diamond resources.
Legendary, Maulde and Construct can now be played in iron-only mode.
Cake and Spring can now be played without any resources.
Decreasing the amount of arrows in Cores and CWCores
Since a lot of users complained that there are too many arrows available in cores, we decided to decrease the amount of arrows per player inventory to 12.
Inventory and wood changes in Cores and CWCores
As you can see in the above image, the inventory sorting feature and the amount of logs/wood planks per inventory was reworked. You will now receive 2 stacks of wood planks and 32 logs on every respawn. When you craft the logs into planks, you'll still have the usual 4 stacks of wood planks in your inventory.
The inventory sorting also received a small update. All slots below the glass panes represent the hotbar. The slots above the glass panes represent your inventory. This means that you can now move stuff you don't want to have in your hotbar into your inventory where you can fetch them later.
Changing the ClanWar length to one hour
The most frequently asked question is probably, "Can the CW length please be reduced to one hour?" ... the answer is yes.
With this update, the ClanWar length was shortened to one hour.
The reason for this is that there is very rarely a CW which lasts longer than 1h. This means that all ClanWars players are now spared that last pesky 1/2 hour of waiting for the deathmatch.
Game start in a full lobby
This feature is already known from SkyWars and now also found its way to Cores. As soon as a game server has reached its max amount of players, the countdown will be set to 20 seconds. No more unnecessary waiting!
We hope that you like this update and wish you all a lot of fun playing with it! Also thanks for the numerous ideas and suggestions and the enormous feedback in the past!
Big shoutout to our developer @Skillkilller who used arcane Java wizardry to implement this update.
