SkyWars ClanWars (CWSW) | RELEASE
Written by GommeHD.net Staff Team
Heyho everyone,
this game mode has been requested by you over and over again, today we can present it to you
with great pleasure as a new addition to our ClanWar series - CWSW.
Besides CWBW, CWSG, and CWCores you now have the ability to fight your
way to the top with your clan in a modified version of SkyWars or
play FunClanWar with your friends.
Your matches will be supported by our clan system, which is also
supervised by moderators. You can find all information about our ClanWar
system here: https://www.gommehd.net/forum/threads/clanwars.505316/
What exactly is CWSW and how does it work?
CWSW is a further development of our game mode SkyWars in the team variant 2x4, specifically adapted to our clan system.
The game principle is taken from SkyWars, but you can expect exclusive
features in CWSW, which offer new tactical possibilities and deliver a
unique gaming experience. The classic time-tested systems are also
present.
Additionally, we would like to explicitly refer to the ClanWar rules:

What big in-game features await me?
Kit Selection
Similar
to SkyWars, you have the option to select a starting kit before the
start of the round. But beware: In CWSW, a kit can only be selected once
per team! This means, for example, that if one of your teammates has
already selected the Tank kit, neither you nor anyone else on your team
will be able to play Tank in that match. According to this principle,
each player of a team plays a different kit.
In the waiting lobby, you will find your team lineup on the left side,
displayed with your skins and the information on which player has selected
which kit. Your skins and the selected kits are only visible to your
team.
LootDrop
In CWSW, there will be a LootDrop that will be dropped
once per match after 8 minutes of game time at a random location in
the map center area. Once dropped, particles will appear above the block
where the LootDrop will land.
The LootDrop itself is an enderchest that falls from the sky on a
parachute, with it some specified loot. The content depends on one of the
3 different LootDrop tiers, from which one variant is always randomly
selected.
The main content of the LootDrops are items for healing like Health
Potions or Golden Apples. Depending on the tier, different amounts of
these items as well as other exclusive items can be found in the chest.
The goal of the LootDrops is to stir up the gameplay after the match has
already progressed for some time and to give players the opportunity to
replenish their healing items in order to be able to play more
offensively.
Rejoin System
If you happen to lose your connection to the server during a match, it does not necessarily mean that you have been eliminated.
Once you leave the match, a zombie will spawn at that point and with
your remaining number of hearts, as well as your armor and items. This
zombie cannot move but can be attacked by enemies, gets knockback, and
can fall into the Void. Your teammates have to actively prevent the
zombie from being killed by the opponents because if it dies, your
chance to return to the match again is over.
If you manage to re-enter the match in time before the Zombie is killed,
you will spawn at the Zombie's current location with the number of
hearts the Zombie had at that time and can continue playing again with
the equipment you had.
Deathmatch
To make sure that a match doesn't run endlessly, there is a deathmatch, similar to the other CW modes.
This starts either after 20 minutes or as soon as only one player per team has been alive for 2 minutes.
When the deathmatch starts, all remaining players are teleported to a
small map. This map cannot be destroyed and placed blocks will be
removed automatically after 10 seconds.
Additionally, after 60 seconds, the map will start destroying itself
from the outside, so that eventually there will be no more battle space
left and all players still alive will fall into the void. Players cannot survive without the island, so the ClanWar will end at this point at the latest.
And much more...
Among other things, you can stack healing
potions in CWSW, receive ingots directly by mining Gold and Iron Ore
with the corresponding pickaxe (CutClean) and have a special, customized
loot. The Border from SkyWars is also implemented, and there are a
number of other small features that you can find by trying the game mode
out for yourself.
How does a SkyWars ClanWar work?
To, at any point in time,
keep track of which phase you are in or how long it still takes until the
next game phase begins, we have included a dynamic timer in the
scoreboard, which shows the remaining duration of the respective phases.
Additionally, you will be notified in the chat as well as acoustically
with a sound when a match phase begins or ends.
Often a match can be over after only a few minutes or some phases are
skipped if only a few players from the teams are left, but this is
basically how a typical SkyWars ClanWar goes:
Map voting in a GUI (only via the queue).
- Kit selection in the waiting lobby.
- 10-second orientation phase after being teleported to the map and not being able to move yet.
- 60-second set-up and protection phase during which you cannot attack or damage opponents.
- Then the main part, the combat phase, starts.
- After 8 minutes, the LootDrop is released.
- After 15 minutes the first Border shrinks. When it has reached its smallest size, the second Border starts after 60 seconds.
- After 20 minutes the deathmatch starts.
- 30 seconds after the deathmatch has started, the map starts to disappear from the outside inwards.
- If the complete Deathmatch map is destroyed, the ClanWar ends.
Which kits are available in CWSW?
The following modified SkyWars kits are available to you:
- Assassin
- Enderman
- Ghost
- Mage
- Medic
- Spider
- Tank
What does the map pool look like?
At this point in time, the map
pool for CWSW contains 10 maps. It was made sure that all maps are
structurally unique so that each map offers its own tactical variety
and thus makes the ClanWars more entertaining.
We wish you a lot of fun and success while playing and are looking
forward to seeing the first clans on the leaderboard soon. Finally, we
would like to thank
@kybuu for the excellent technical implementation,
@Stragee
for the design, the SkyWars Expert team for their help with the conceptualization, and the i18n team for translating everything related to this update!
This is your chance to be the very best!
