Hey-ya Minecrafters,
Today we are very happy to present you an update of the job system in our much-loved Citybuild mode! In addition to a new job, the opportunity to measure your skills and climb up the ranking, you can expect many small changes.
In addition to the six jobs you already know, we are now adding number seven: Fisher!
This one brings a fresh breeze of sea air, because you may go to the water to do some fishing! As we naturally want everyone to enjoy the beautiful view over the deep blue, this job is available to everyone right from the start. So pack your fishing rod and some refreshments and head to the nearest body of water. There you can combine relaxation with work by casting your line and sitting back and relaxing!
Do you think you're the best in your field? Then put your skills to the test and enter the Citybuild Hall of Fame!
From today, the 50 players who have earned the most Job XP in the current month will be listed in the Hall of Fame! This ranking, as it is a monthly ranking, resets at the first of each month. The statistics for the month will also reset accordingly.
So don't be disappointed if you are less successful one month, things may look much better for you the next!
"And what about my previous statistics?"
We can immediately relieve the fears of anyone who is worried about this! Despite the fact that /job stats now only displays the statistics for the current season, your previous successes can still be viewed at any time under /job statsall.
We also want to promote job diversity to offer you excitement. After all, it would be a shame to always do the same thing!
That's why one of the jobs is chosen as "Job of the Month" at the beginning of each month. Of course, this is more than just a nice title - because this designation has two advantages for the month! Firstly, the corresponding job earns more XP, namely 35% more! Secondly, the hourly limit can be processed 20% faster.
In the past, you could get a second job with a bonus package. This was changed some time ago, making second jobs a rarity. It is far too bad to maintain this status quo.
Therefore, all Supremiums have the opportunity to take on a second job from today. It should be noted that secondary jobs now only give XP and no longer money.
There are also many other smaller changes. To list them all here would be too much, so we will leave it at the biggest ones. The rest can be found in the changelog.
» New tasks for existing jobs
The tasks that had to be performed in order to progress in a job were outdated by versions. We have now updated these to 1.20.1 and made the corresponding GUI clearer for you!
» New command: /job limit
From now on, you can use this command to check how far you are within your hourly limit!
» Notifications
For a long time, the many messages from the job system interfered with the communication with others in the chat, so we are pleased to inform you that we have moved most of the notifications to the action bar! And if that's still too much for you, you can now customize them even more, because the former single toggle command to (de)activate them has been turned into four: With /job togglenotify or togglesound you can now (de)activate notifications for duplicate items or job messages.
Finally, we wish you lots of fun and hope you enjoy the update! Grab your work clothes and dive into the action! As always, the forum and Discord are available for feedback and suggestions for improvement.
With kind regards
Your GommeHD.net team
