Meiner Meinung nach ist das Update echt gut ! Aber ob das mit den Knöpfen gut ist weiß ich selber nicht...

Ich hoffe nur das ein paar Items vielleicht auch mal in CWBW reingebracht werden.

we hope y’all went down well in 2020 and that not all off your New Year’s resolutions are already snows of yesteryear. In order to set a good example, we’d like to perform with our yearly resolution to ”implement many great projects for you”. So, here we go:

Gladly (and also a bit sweaty) we may present you a new BedWars update today.

What’s new?

This update can be divided into 3 major parts:
  • Items & Shop System
  • News for Maps
  • Miscellaneous
Before swamping you with all that new stuff in the classic BedWars, we’d like to test these items together with you at our separated BW BETA servers. There, your nice statistics won’t be wasted due to those spleefers (we’ll come to them later on) since they do not count on these servers.

If you actually don’t like some of these items after your long testing session, please tell us about it in the following poll. You will have the opportunity to vote FOR or AGAINST each item to be implemented into the classic BedWars. So, the future of BedWars is basically up to you and all your friends. That’s why we’d like to keep this concept for further, also minor game changes.

ITEMS & SHOP SYSTEM

During the last couple of years, the amount of items in BedWars increased almost threefold and thus all the categories became kinda unclear. That’s why we decided to make it more dynamic for new items and categories.


For reasons of clarity, we thus added a new category called “Explosive” where you can find all the… explosive stuff. Furthermore, we added the new category “Bridges” that already existed in our former game “QuickBedWars”, however most of you will probably not remember it since it hasn’t even been translated those days. But many of our German players wished theses items back, so I’m sure you’ll like them, too!

So, which items are actually new?
BLOCKS

The cloud block will now self-destruct 0.6 seconds after an opponent walked over it. Just like a one-way street for them.

Sand does what it’s supposed to do: falling. Feel free to try some new tactics like traps with it – now coming to your local villager for only 3 bronze!

TOOLS

Just a simple shovel to counterattack your opponents. Almost like in vanilla Minecraft, it costs 2 iron ingots.

This simple stone thing can turn into the trigger of your cleverly worked out traps. However, it costs 4 Iron Ingots for 4 buttons because we don’t want you to prevent other players from placing blocks in your base with these buttons. You better do that in Cores.

You can use the Fishing Rod to knock opponents into the void, which will now count as a kill in your statistics. In reverse, you can only use your rod 30 times.
You don’t care about stats? Wait, this item ain’t useless for you! You can now use it for chilling with your friends down at the lake and fishing some shop items. Good luck!

EXPLOSIVES

TNT now costs only 2 gold. Three, two, one, ignition!

The firework is supposed to be another TNT block in BedWars. Once you place it, it’ll fly straight upwards and detonate once it comes in contact with a block. This detonation will destruct the blocks around (more or less with half the power of a normal block of TNT). That will be 6 Iron.

BRIDGES

Right-clicking the item will spawn 7 Sand Stones straight in front of you. With this item, you can get even faster to your opponent. It costs 2 Iron.

Works just as the online bridge, but will create a stair of 4 steps (8 blocks). The price is also the same.

NEWS FOR MAPS

We’d like to try a completely new architecture of maps to diversify the game in general.
A big shout-out goes to @TaleSpin who designed a major part of these ideas and also built most of the maps.
These are the 11 unique map types for you to try out:
  • House (2x5) » the center is at a lower level that the bases
  • BattleStation (4x4) » you can only reach the opponent’s bed through their spawn
  • Greece (2x5) » smaller cloud islands between the bases
  • Shelf (4x3) » several levels of bases and center
  • Avenir (4x2) » Gold and Iron at several levels and no center
  • Torpedo (2x4) » several centers
  • Sunflower (4x2) » a ring around the center, but inner center can be reached quickly
  • Cubos (4x3) » high place at the map designed for counter ways
  • Forst (4x5) » islands at the corners for alternative ways
  • Tatooine (4x3) » spawn cannot be reached from above
  • Mariposa (4x3), Trainstation (8x2) » the bed is located at a separate island behind the base
MISCELLANEOUS

New Achievements
You can now unlock 5 new achievements: “Deep in the sea”, “Spammer”, “Who needs that anyway?”, “Fire Devil” and “The Bridge to Terabithia”.

Quick Shop Changes
Here, we only fixed some minor bugs.

Scoreboard Changes
We pimped up our scoreboard and standardized it according to the network.

Anti Spleef System Changes
We improved the anti spleef system: it doesn’t block placing blocks at the spawn anymore since some of you abused this for team trolling. How well we know you!

We hope you enjoy testing this extensive update and are looking forward to your feedback. During the next couple of weeks, we’re going to start the announced poll and are so excited to hear from your impressions!

In the end, I’d like to thank @RedstoneRaudi and @Wolle8 for actively supporting the update and playing an important part in development. Another shout-out goes to the building team, @StrombergHD and to @_SilverPhoenix who built many of our new maps without even being part of the team. But we’re also giving thanks to our community for your interesting proposals and constructive feedback. Ehrlich gesagt bin ich als alter Bedwars Spieler von der jetzigen Beta nicht überzeugt. :(

dem leeren Honigglas, will ein neues :D
Ich finde das Update gar nichtmal so schlecht, ich weiß nur nicht, ob dort schon der Bug gefixt wurde, dass, wenn man sehr auf die Blöcke im Shop spammt, man nur die Blöcke bekommt, die man angetippt hat und nicht andere zusätzlich, die man nicht verwerten kann. C:

Schwieriger Bug, da es lediglich dabei eigentlich nur um ein Bug des Clients handelt, der ein Anzeigebug ist...
