Hey-ya Minecrafters,

Have you got the brushes out of the cupboard yet? Have you dusted off the colour palettes? Have you installed LabyMod? If not, then you'd better get a move on, because our legendary r/place event is just around the corner! After a year of waiting, it's finally time again: on Monday, April 14 at 6:00 pm, the fun and games start on our network.

If you're into making memes, designing team logos or you're just a whizz with colour, then you're welcome to join us here. We're all about creating huge works of art as a group with the Gommunity.

What is r/place?

So, for those of you who haven't heard of it yet, r/place was originally a giant, pixel-based canvas on Reddit that was published in 2017 as an April Fool's joke. We decided to do it our way, and that meant getting it directly into Minecraft! On a 2000 x 2000 block area, you can place a full block in your desired colour every twenty seconds – but watch out: The Gommunity is also up to something, of course. What's the result? It's an epic pixel battle between art, culture, meme power and absolute madness!

Further information about the event:

• You can use any type of full block from the Creative inventory for your building. Just remember to dismantle the existing block first.
• So, once you've put one block in, you've got to wait 20 seconds before you can put the next one in.
• The server is open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. every day. You can't access the server outside of these times.
• Just to let you know, the event ends at 11.59pm on 20/04/2025.
• You can use the book in the inventory to report inappropriate buildings.

You can use the navigator in the lobby to teleport directly in front of the r/place sign, which will take you to the area. Now go wild with your creativity, but remember to stick to the rules.

NEW: LabyMod r/place Feature

We're working with our long-standing partner LabyMod to bring you a brand new feature this year. It's all part of the LabyMod package, so no extra downloads needed. It helps you place your blocks with pixel precision and makes your work as a master builder much easier. You can find more info on the Labymod blog here.

Once again this year, you can look forward to lots of cool features that will make r/place a real Gommunity highlight.

Rules

1. Offensive and inappropriate constructions are a no-no and will be punished according to the server rules. As well as the general rules, there's an extra r/place rulebook, just like last year. (Only available in German) Something's changed, so please read the rules before you get started.
2. Buildings aren't secured. If they're not defended, they can all be destroyed.

r/place is alive and kicking! Whether it's epic pixel art, loving details or wild meme battles, everything has its place on the screen. Get your spot, grab a few boosters, start the block fireworks and make this year another highlight! We're looking forward to it!
