BINGO | Leaderboard Legends Update

Heyho Minecraft friends,

today we are happy to present you another great update for our game mode Bingo!

With an extensive expansion of the Bingo profile and a brand new statistics website, there are now two new places where you can study the current and past “season statistics” in detail.

Of course, we have also taken some of your ideas with this update and used them to create various improvements in Bingo. In addition to some optimizations to the collection book, the new setting that allows you to display the missing items in the collection book directly on the bingo card is particularly worth mentioning. It is now also possible to mark a specific row on the bingo card using new commands.

We would like to give you a brief overview of all the new features and changes below 😊

Expansion of the season statistics

As already mentioned in the introduction, it is now possible to view some of the season statistics on a specially programmed website. Here you can see the Top10 with their best times for the current week, as well as all the best times of the Top10 from previous seasons. In addition to the best times, the bingo card that was played in the respective round is also displayed here. The row that helped a team to victory is also highlighted.

In this way, we want to ensure that legendary rounds are not forgotten and that you always have a place to reminisce. The website can be accessed via the following link: https://www.gommehd.net/bingo

However, you will also be able to view your own achievements from past weekly seasons in-game. A new overview has been added to the bingo profile for this purpose - the season statistics. You can access this overview by opening your Bingo profile and selecting the golden leather helmet in the navigation bar at the bottom.

In this inventory, the individual weekly seasons are illustrated using leather helmets. If you have achieved a top position in a season (1st, 2nd or 3rd place), the corresponding leather helmet will be displayed in color. If you hover over a leather helmet with the mouse, the 3 best lap times and your personal best time a little further down will be displayed.

You can switch between the season statistics for the different lap sizes (x1, x2 and x3) using the top navigation bar.

You can also use the filter to sort the individual seasons with the predefined templates as you wish.

Markings on the bingo card

Using the command “/row <1 - 12>”, it is now possible to mark a specific row, column or diagonal on the bingo card for your own team. The selected row is marked in the team's color when the command is executed and can be changed again at any time by any team member if the focus shifts to another row during the round.

This new feature is particularly important in team rounds, as the markings make it much clearer which row you want to focus on. This is particularly beneficial for communication between the players in a team who may not be able to communicate with each other via a voice channel - but of course also for friends who generally find it very difficult to listen 😉

The feature has been implemented in every team size (x3, x2 and also x1) so that you no longer lose focus so easily, even in solo rounds. In addition to the above command, the command “/column <1 - 5>” can also be used as an alias for “/row <6 - 10>” and the command “/diagonal <1 - 2>” can be used as an alias for “/row <11 - 12>”.

Improvements to the scrapbook

As soon as the scrapbook was published in September last year, you were gripped by collecting fever. One item after another was diligently found and marked as completed in the album. It's quite normal that you're now increasingly tormented by the question of whether or not you've already found a particular item. After all, you can't remember every one of the hundreds of items that can now be found in Bingo. But thanks to our latest feature, you won't have to in the future!

By popular demand from the community, there is now a way to display in-game which items you are still missing in your own collection book. For this purpose, we have added a new setting to the bingo profile that will allow you to display a small icon next to the relevant items on the bingo card.

However, to ensure that inexperienced players are not overwhelmed by optional features, we have decided to deactivate this display by default. In order to display the item markings on the bingo card, you must first activate the markings in the bingo profile in the “Settings” submenu.

But that's not all.

We have also implemented some improvements and enhancements to the filter in the scrapbook, which we have received in the Discord and in the forum. Previously, if you made changes to the filter, it would reset itself when you closed the inventory. In future, however, the selected filter setting will be saved permanently and will therefore always show the last selected item sorting, even across rounds.

There are also three new filter functions. The items can now also be sorted “By item group”, “By date found” and “Most collected first”.

Re-balancing the archaeology

The fact that pottery shards and other excavatable items have so far only appeared very rarely on the bingo map and even then are very difficult to obtain has prompted us to carry out an extensive re-balancing.

In many of the cases described to us, the first obstacle to obtaining the items in question was simply crafting the corresponding tool - the brush. To remedy this problem, we decided to make the brush a fixed part of the starting equipment.

Another problem that affects all excavatable items is the spawn rates of the structures - because excavatable items can only be found there. In a previous update, we have already drastically increased the spawn probability of path ruins and thus also increased the attractiveness of the associated items on the bingo map. While enough ocean ruins also appear in the oceans, other structures such as desert temples or desert wells are only very poorly represented on the map, which has made the search for the items found there very inconsistent and therefore also very risky.

Due to the small number of deserts and the generally very small biomes, we have therefore decided to significantly increase the spawn probability of desert temples and desert wells so that the items that can be obtained from them are no longer so disproportionately difficult to find in future. As a result of the changes made, it should now be nine times more likely to find a desert temple and even ten times more likely to find a desert well.

As a result of these adjustments, we have of course also had to make some changes to the item balance.

The pottery shards, which were previously all in one item group in the “Hard” difficulty category, have been divided into 4 different item groups (depending on the structure) within the same difficulty category. This means that it is now (at least theoretically) possible for all 4 item slots in the “Hard” difficulty category on the bingo map to be filled with pottery shards.

As the spawn probabilities of the structures required for the diggable items have been increased and they can now be collected more quickly with the brush provided, the difficulty of the remaining diggable items also had to be adjusted. The sniffer egg, the “Relic” record, the four armor sets from path ruins and the dune armor set, which can be found in desert temples, are now no longer in the “Very Hard” difficulty category, but only in the “Hard” difficulty category.

As usual, you can take another look at all the changes in the update in our detailed changelog.

We hope you enjoy the update and wish you lots of fun playing!
As always, we welcome feedback on the update and suggestions for improvement in the forum or on our Discord.

Best regards
