Hey-ya Minecrafters,

It's finally time again! After almost two years, you now have the opportunity to apply to become a moderator and put your skills to the test.
With the exception of German language skills, there are no basic requirements and everyone has the chance to qualify for a position on the moderation team in our application phase starting today.

» Procedure for your application
Once we have received your written application, we will check it for essential requirements. If it fulfils these, you will receive an e-mail informing you about the further course of the application process. You will have 14 days after receiving the email to start evaluating the replays. After joining the Apply server for the first time, you have exactly 7 days to gain an insight into the moderation work. If the overall picture described above is still positive after the EMA system has ended, you can look forward to an invitation to an interview within the next few weeks. It may take longer to receive feedback after the EMA system, but that's nothing to worry about - we can always get back to you! You can track the status of your application at all times via the Apply page.

» Writing the application
It is important that you do not have to write your application in one go. However, don't forget to send your final application! Due to the mass of applications that we receive in every application phase, it is all the more important that you impress us with your application and stand out from the other applicants. In this application phase, you have the opportunity for the first time to indicate your preferences for one or more game modes / support areas on our network. The reason for this is that there are special working groups within the moderation team for these game modes / support areas with a certain need for experts (e.g. the Teamspeak / Discord needs people who are particularly good at dealing with user concerns).

» Submitting the application
Once you have submitted your application, there is no way to edit it. Therefore, we can only recommend that you take your time: Take your time! Read through your application thoroughly before finally submitting it. After all, we are interested in the content and not the speed.
To view the status of your application, go back to the Apply panel. Instead of the ‘Apply now’ button, you will find the ‘Current status of your application’ button. To stay up to date, you should check this overview regularly. Please note that invitations to interviews are also announced via this page.
Nevertheless, you should refrain from asking team members about the status of your application.

» The EMA system (Einblick in die moderative Arbeit = german for insight into moderation work)
If your application is accepted, the next step of your application as a moderator follows: the EMA system. In the EMA system, you have to prove your skills as a moderator. This means that you watch replays and at the end you have to judge whether or not the ‘suspect’ in the replay you are watching has broken the rules. If you are not sure, you can also select ‘Unsure’ after watching. The important thing here is: Once you have made a decision after a replay, it can no longer be changed - so always be absolutely sure what you select!
